Up next this week: bread. My all time favourite. I can't think of anything that beats fresh bread & a slab of butter. You can choose a variety of relationships with this beast, at its simplest, anyone can make it, and my condensed recipe for 15% rye sourdough can be found here. At the opposite end of the spectrum, it can be a bit of an obsession.  The myriad of techniques, advice and recipes mean an endless opportunity to experiment... and I suggest you do.

Fresh Saturday morning bread has become a bit of a tradition, and despite my trouble waking up early to let the bread proof, my efforts are quickly rewarded and I find myself grinning like a first class idiot...
